Paying Homage to the Eighties
GI Joe has been a staple in my life since the initial release of three and three quarter inch GI Joe Toys in 1982. GI Joe toys are based off GI Joe characters in the cartoon.
My favorite GI Joe character is Snake Eyes. I don't know if it's the fact that he seems mysterious or if it's the nineteen eighties ninja thing. If you grew up in the eighties like I did then you undoubtedly know what I'm talking about. Ninjas and martial arts were all the rage. From the movie Karate Kid and American Ninja to the epic Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger movies.
